The story of S.A.B.'s Chili Company began more than 27 years ago at our oldest son Sidney Jr.'s first birthday party. For the celebration, my Aunt Margaret prepared a pot of homemade chili that completely changed my husband Sidney Sr.'s opinion of chili. Someone who had never been a chili fan instantly fell in love with it.
Years later, I was inspired to create a simple homemade chili recipe just for him. After countless batches, adjustments, and years of perfecting the recipe, it became the rich, bold chili our family couldn't get enough of.
In 2012, we opened S.A.B.'s Snowball Shoppe. Three years into business, Sidney Sr. suggested we serve our homemade chili on hot dogs and nachos. We decided to give it a try, and our customers loved it from the very first bite. Before long, our chili became the signature item that people traveled to enjoy.
For years, customers asked if they could take our chili home, and we dreamed of making it available beyond our shop. After many conversations, careful planning, and a commitment to maintaining the same homemade quality, that dream finally became a reality.
In February 2026, we proudly launched S.A.B.'s Chili Company, bringing our famous homemade chili to retail shelves. What began as a family recipe made with love has grown into a product we're proud to share with families everywhere.
